suggestions for kids set?

Post by SpaceJam4Love » Sat May 17, 2008 11:10 pm

hey now mama and papa worms and their kids. this here is mike the kids music guy, (aka,mike turk). howzit? in case u don't know me, i'm the guy that has led the kids set for about the last 4 wormtown, kewanee events and have been loving every minute of it! worm kids are totally awesome! although, the fabulous spaghetti cake will be doing a kids set on sunday this year, i understand i will still have 15 minutes with the kids onstage too, (probably with s.c. as the back up band). mommy worm has also asked me to run the teen scene, as i did for her at the vibes, (so tell your teen worms to stop by and jam!) therefore, i may or may not have much time for the little worms. i will certainly try my best. if i do, i would love to hear your suggestions for songs the kids might like to sing. here is a list of what i remember we did from the last few kids sets;

we will "hug" you (to the tune of we will rock you)
take me out to the "festival"
the way of the heart
stand by me
imagine
not fade away
3 little birds
all we are saying is give peace a chance

loving you
mike
much love,

Joy to the World by Three Dog Night would be cool......... :grouphug:

Here Comes the Sun by Beatles... :sunny:

Teach Your Children by CSN....(just have them learn the chorus)..... :choccake:

Why Can't We Be Friends by War.....(kids can learn chorus).... :Peace:

we actually did do this once, i forget whether it was in the spring or in the fall. it was a little hard for the backup band to learn quickly

Here Comes the Sun by Beatles... :sunny:
great idea, especially for the spring, ("it's been a long and lonley winter"). probably also a bit hard for the band to learn quickly

Teach Your Children by CSN....(just have them learn the chorus)..... :choccake:
hmmm love this song too. who would sing the verses? maybe some teen singers? me? gab?

Why Can't We Be Friends by War.....(kids can learn chorus).... :Peace:
oh cool idea also. this once has the most potential!

Some ideas.....

thanks so much bfree!

much love,
mike
